birthday celebration

We had lots of fun celebrations in August, but this is probably one of the best.

My sisters Bunny and Mariposa and I just came back from a week-long summer camp.  My dad and my mom picked Bunny, Mariposa, and I up at the drop-off place and went back to our house.

When we got to the house and went inside, there was a surprise party!  I didn't know, but my other sisters probably did.  Do you know why we had the party?  Because it was my dad's birthday!

Here we are at the Camp Howard pick-up.

My brother Sedric likes the presents.  He wishes he can have them.

Shhh, don't scare the baby!

Our friend Fr. Juan set up the decorations.  Don't they look nice?

"Happy Birthday to you!"  ffffffff

"Ok, good party, now let's have some cake."

More presents?  Wow, this is a big party!  If you think YOU'RE
family is crazy, you should really check out ours!

My dad's birthday was really fun, but my favorite part was probably getting home from the week-long summer camp.

My First Blog Post

Hi, my name is James, and this blog will be about my life as a carver, artist, writer, athlete, and photographer.

Because I'm just starting, my mom will provide help and let me use her pictures for the blog posts and type what I say.  Later I will type on my own, though.

My older sister Bunny and my mom both have blogs too, so if you want to check those out, here are the names:

Our Life on the Nut Farm
Bunny's Blog and More

I like to carve wands, light sabers, landscape scenes, and whistles.  As an artist, I draw portraits, landscapes, other pictures, and I'm starting on iconography.  As a writer I write mainly for school and a lot of it: for science, math, history, and religion.  As an athlete I do dance lessons and sometimes go to athlete camps like fencing and soccer.  And as a photographer, I got a new camera last winter so I'm not a professional but I have some really good pictures.

I hope you enjoy this blog and learn about my life!
